How To Look The Best At Everything ♥

How To Look The Best At Everything Flawless Complexion Makeup Kit in Light

This is the second makeup kit I got from Benefit Cosmetics. I love the idea of these cute looking Benefit's makeup kits that allow me to try out several products at once to see whether I love it enough and willing to spend on full size instead of heading out and spend lotsa money to get everything and end up I don't like them at all.

First of all, how lovely is the packaging, it looks like a little book, how cute! I know I'm gonna get it when I first saw it. I'm a sucker for cute stuff like this, plus I always want to try Benefit's famous base products after all the hype I heard, so this is the perfect opportunity. This kit contains everything that you need for your everyday face makeup, primer, foundation, concealers, powder, as well as a mirror and brush. I got it in Light (available in Fair, Light, Medium & Deep) and it matches me perfectly (fyi I'm around NC25).

The Light kit contains :
- 0.25 oz The POREfessional
- 0.23 oz Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 PA+++ in "Cheers To Me" Champagne
- 2 x 0.05 oz Boi-ing in 01 and 02
- 0.14 oz "Hello Flawless!" in "Me, Vain?" Champagne

- a mini powder brush (that I don't really use)

HUGE Mirror!

the POREfessional

I'm using everything from this little kit pretty much everytime I do my makeup since I got it. Let's talk about the very famous The POREfessional primer first. This is one of those typical silicone balmy feeling primer that claim to minimize the appearance of pores. I like to apply my Laura Mercier Oil Free Primer on my whole face first then I'll layer the POREfessional on my POREblematic areas which are my T-zone and cheeks. It makes my foundation application goes on smoother and do minimize the appearance of my pores (less visible, not disappear obviously lol).

After I prime my face, I'll then apply the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 PA+++ with my Real Tecniques Buffing Brush. I tried to apply with just my fingers once and it blends pretty well but I prefer the look that I achieved by using the Buffing Brush, it blends like heaven and looks much more natural and flawless. I'll definitely get a full size of this foundation after I finish this little miniature size. It quickly became my new favorite liquid foundation now. I love the light consistency of this foundation and the dewy but not oily looking finish, it makes my face looks much more healthy. It claims to be light to medium coverage but I think the coverage is pretty decent, and I love how it blends really well and never gets cakey, It does not dry quickly so you can take your time to blend in the foundation unlike my Estee Lauder Double Wear that need to work quickly (I still love my ELDW though). A big thumbs up for this awesome product. A great everyday foundation.

After foundation, it's time to conceal any imperfections that left on my face with the Boi-ing concealers duo. To be honest, I didn't like this product that much. It feels greasy on my face but it makes my under eyes look cakey too!  I don't think it worth the hype and I'm not impressed. I'll be going back to my HG concealer, the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflouge, it covers up blemishes, scars, as well as under eyes circles really well.

After all the hard work done, I'll dust on the Hello Flawless! powder with my regular powder brush (M.A.C 129) to set everything. I love this powder and I think it works really well together with the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF25 PA+++. It feels silky and soft and I love that it is in compact form, great for days when I don't feel like using loose powder that can cause a mess! It mattify and set my makeup without looking too overdone and powdery. It is a powder foundation so you can definitely use it on its own. I haven't try it on its own yet so I'm not sure how it performs as a powder foundation but it works wonder as a setting powder. The only downside is I wish the powder is in separate packaging that can be removed from the box instead of attached to the box like other products from the kit, it is more handy and easy to use and carry in this way.

Love Love Love this kit! I'm glad the Light kit matches my skin tone perfectly. I can't decide between Light and Medium. This kit is a great way of trying four different products from Benefit in a good value. Looking forward to more awesome kits like this from Benefit Cosmetics since I love both of mine so much (feelin' Dandy & this).

M.A.C Mineralize Blush in Dainty ♥

I've been hunting for a great natural looking pink blush for quite sometimes.

I went into a M.A.C store randomly last two weeks and finally decided to give the Mineralize Blush in 'Dainty' a try since the makeup artist in M.A.C recommended it and I found it looks pretty much what I'm looking for in the pan.

M.A.C describes the colour as as light yellow pink with gold shimmer, the description is pretty much what the blush about.

I'm happy with my purchased so far. It looks very natural on the cheeks with very settle shimmer. It add a gorgeous sheen onto my cheeks without looking too overdone. It is much more pigmented than I thought, a little goes a long way so remember to tap the excess off and apply with light hand, build it up as you wish to.

the Christmasy paper bag makes me feel happy and warm!

Overall, I think Dainty is a great everyday blush to add a touch of colour for my skintone (around NC25). I love it so far.

M.A.C Mineralize Blush retail for RM100/3.5g and available at all M.A.C stores.
